A lap of the bay: the volcano and its headline slides first, then the wave lagoon, the family river village, and the fast water at Rainforest Village.
Segments
- Krakatau
Park gate → The volcano
Paved paths and stairs
The 200-foot volcano is the park's centerpiece and its best ride container. The Krakatau Aqua Coaster launches canoes uphill and down through the mountain's interior — the signature ride, and the first thing to tap into with TapuTapu — while the trapdoor drop capsules, including the near-vertical Ko'okiri Body Plunge, fall through the volcano itself. Waterfalls by day, lava light by night.
- Wave Village & Waturi Beach
Krakatau → Waturi Beach
Paved paths and sand
The lagoon under the volcano is the park's living room: Waturi Beach's sand and loungers face the wave pool with Krakatau steaming behind it — the postcard view. The waves cycle between rolling and calm, the edges stay shallow, and this is where you wait out your TapuTapu reservations. Claim loungers early; the front rows go first.
- The River Village
Waturi Beach → Kopiko Wai winding river
Paved paths
The family quarter. Kopiko Wai, the winding lazy river, drifts through grottos and under spilling water, the multi-rider raft slides run mild enough for mixed ages, and the kids' play areas are scaled honestly for small swimmers rather than shrunk-down thrill rides. If you have children under ten, this village is base camp.
- Rainforest Village
The River Village → TeAwa the Fearless River
Paved paths
The far side of the bay holds the fast water. TeAwa the Fearless River is a whitewater channel ridden in a mandatory vest — a workout disguised as a river — and around it cluster the aggressive slides: drop-capsule plunges like Ko'okiri's siblings, racing mat slides and dark serpentine tubes. End the day here while your nerve is still warm.
