Tickets

  • One official seller — everything else is a reseller markup

Angkor passes are sold only through Angkor Enterprise, the authority that runs ticketing for the whole park — online, at the main ticket office, or at self-service kiosks in town. Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable, and children need a passport on hand to prove they qualify for free entry, not just look young enough.

Sunrise at Angkor Wat

  • Everyone converges on the same reflecting pool

Most ‘sunrise at Angkor Wat’ visitors head straight for the pool on the temple’s west side before dawn, which means a real crowd at the water’s edge. Arriving well before the gates open, or walking a little further to one of the park’s quieter ponds, both beat fighting for the classic reflection shot at the last minute.

Ta Prohm

  • The tree roots are a conservation choice, not neglect

Unlike the more fully restored temples elsewhere in the park, Ta Prohm was deliberately left as a controlled ruin: the authority managing Angkor stabilizes the structure while keeping the relationship between jungle and stone that made the site famous, rather than clearing the trees outright.
