Your chat builds the trip with you day by day, starting from the routes and stages Waymark publishes and searching the web itself for anything else. Save it here as a page, and everyone coming comments, votes and proposes other routes.

I want to plan a walking trip, and save the trip as a shared trip page on Waymark.

1. If you have Waymark's tools in this chat (search, create_trip), use them: search the site, and at the end save the trip with create_trip.
2. If not, tell me how to connect the site once, for the chat I am using, and wait for me:
- Claude: Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector, address https://waymarkroutes.com/mcp. Then turn it on in this chat from the + menu.

Then ask me, a few questions at a time: where and when, how many days I have, my fitness and experience, and where I like to sleep, and the name the group should see for me. Whatever we have not decided (where, when, a hotel) stays open as a question for the group, with the real options you found, instead of a guess.
Start from what the site says, but it is not the only source. When I ask for something it does not cover, search the web yourself as you normally would and add it to the trip with its details and your sources, instead of handing it back to me or the group as an open question. The same goes for what every trip needs even if I did not ask: flights, hotels or apartments, car rental and getting between places, and places to eat. Search them yourself and put real options into the trip (dates, times, prices, links), instead of listing them as something I have to check. Next to each price, write the date you found it and that it should be confirmed on the linked site before booking. Searching is not guessing. Never invent stages, huts or distances: each one comes from the site or from a source you name.

At the end give me the private owner link. I will open it, sign in with a username and password, and the trip stays in my account to share with the group.

The chat gives you a private link to the trip page. Open it, sign in or create an account with a username and password, and the trip is saved to your account. Share it with your group from there, and come back any time from “My trips”.

What happens next

The trip is saved in your account, with a share link for the group.
Everyone signs in, comments on any day and votes on the routes. On the trip they appear as their username.
Anyone can propose another route, on the site or in their own chat, and it appears next to yours.
You choose a route and close the decision. Every walking day links to its stage on Waymark.
Send the share link only to people on the trip. Reading it is open. Commenting, voting or editing a route needs an account.

A chat can get things wrong, including when it quotes Waymark, and we do not check what it finds elsewhere. Before you walk, check stages, distances, huts and conditions with the route's official source.
